Four Policemen Killed, Gun Boat Stolen After Gunmen Attack Marine Command in Lagos

Four policemen were reportedly killed and a gunboat stolen, when armed men in the uniform of the Nigerian Army and Nigerian Navy, attacked the Marine Command of the Nigerian Police at Onikan, Lagos State.

The suspects who struck in the wee hours of Sunday, were said to be suspected oil vandals.

Sources said sporadic shooting broke out in the area at about 2am.

The gunboat stolen was one of the six given to the Marine Police, by former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, to fight waterway criminals in the State.
