World football governing body, FIFA has stripped Argentine legend, Diego Maradona off his role as their ambassador, over what the body termed ‘misconduct’ during the Argentina and Nigeria match.

The football legend, it will be recalled, celebrated Argentina’s second goal by raising his middle finger at fans who mocked him before Argentina got their second goal. More so, the over joyous legend collapsed after the celebration, only to be revived by medics, who were on ground for such eventualities.

With this development, Maradona will no longer be under FIFA’s payroll. The legend was however, asked to be of good behaviour for the rest of the tournament or risk being banned.
