Ex Super Eagles Star, Emmanuel Amuneke Appointed As Tanzania Coach

Former Nigeria international Emmanuel Amuneke has been appointed head coach of the Tanzanian national team.

According to the President of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Wallace Karia, who made the the announcement via its official Twitter handle @Tanfootball, he said Amuneke would assume office as the new Head coach of the Tanzanian National team on a two-year deal.

The Tweet reads; “President of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Wallace Karia announced coach Emmanuel Amunike from Nigeria to be the National National Team of Tanzania’s National “National Stars” sponsored by the Serengeti beer for a 2-year contract.”

The former Barcelona star will now head the Taifa Stars of Tanzania in the qualifiers for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations, starting with the east African derby against Uganda in Kampala on September 7.

It may be recalled that Emmanuel Amuneke who was a member of FIFA Technical Study Group during the just concluded 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, led Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets to World Cup glory in 2015 and has also managed several clubs including Sudan’s Al Khartoum, Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hazm to mention but a few.
