Dangote to Set Up Peugeot Assembly Plant

Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, in partnership with the Kaduna State Government and Peugeot of France (PSA Group), have kicked-off plans to construct a car assembly plant.

The assembly plant which willbe known as the Dangote Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited (DPAN), will be located at Dutse, along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway, Kaduna, about 25 kilometers away from the present location of PAN Limited assembly plant in Kakuri industrial zone of Kaduna State.

The plant which is expected to create numerous jobs when completed, will have an assembly plant, an administrative building, external works and services/landscaping. More so, it will have testing tracks, drivers and parking, external services and ancillary buildings that will include power generating house and a gate house.

It will be recalled that the, business tycoon and billionaire, also signed a multimillion naira deal with with China’s SINOTRUK, in May, 2014 to set up truck assembly plant in Lagos, and the assembly plant is expected to not just create more jobs but produce 10,000 trucks annually when completed
