Following their humiliating 3-nil defeat in the hands of Croatia, Argentine striker, Sergio Aguero, has made a plea to the Super Eagles of Nigeria, to help them keep their hopes of qualifying alive by helping them beat Iceland in today’s Group D match.

A win for Nigeria will keep give the Nigerian as well as Albiceleste of Argentina hope of qualifying, with both teams hoping to beat each other when they eventually meet during the last fixture of the Group stage.

He said, “(The defeat against Croatia) It makes me sad and angry ‎but there’s another chance. We depend on others. We did everything we could, but now let’s hope for a miracle or something like that.

“We have to wait on Nigeria to do us a favour against Iceland and then try to beat them when we play them in our last group game,” Aguero told reporters in the mixed zone.

Argentina will meet Nigeria in their final Group D game on June 26.
